Orthodox Icon Wooden Triptych Jesus Christ with Archangel Michael and Archangel Gabriel

This wooden triptych features the icons of our Lord Jesus Christ in the middle, accompanied with archangels Michael and Gabriel on each side of the flanking panels. A triptych is a type of Icon with three panels joined together with a hinge. Such a construction's main idea is to get the easiest way to fold or unfold icon panels.  During the travels, the panels can be folded together for protection. Then you can easily open the triptych for worshiping. Therefore, they are called traveling icons.
